Industry observers believe it will be almost impossible for Hanjin to resurface despite it going under court protection.
“We have seen how some Korean shipping companies that were protected by the court made a comeback,” said one boxship broker. “But these were dry bulk companies. For Hanjin, it will be difficult. Shippers would not want to continue using a liner company that has collapsed.”
