South Korea’s Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction (HHIC) has secured an order for up to four tankers worth around $172m.
Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) has booked two firm aframax newbuildings for delivery in 2018 in a deal that includes options for two more, according to industry sources.
They add that Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) and Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) were also approached by the shipowner but it selected HHIC based on price.
