Richard Fulford-Smith-led shipbroking venture Affinity has taken its first steps into the capital markets via a partnership with Norwegian investment bank Arctic Securities.

The growing brokerage has signed a co-operation agreement with Oslo-based Arctic that will see the companies work together on projects on a non-exclusive basis.

Fulford-Smith — who previously had connections to the capital markets when working with RS Platou — says the Norwegian investment banking system works best for shipping.
