The 179,000-dwt Cotswold (built 2016) has been fixed for four to six months at $8,500 per day, sources say. The Eyal Ofer-led company bought the vessel as SBI Montecristo in November 2015 for $38.9m. The rate is better than what the spot market, which stood at $7,700 per day by Wednesday, is yielding.

Carras (Hellas) has fixed out another capesize, the 171,000-dwt Aquaglory (built 2003) for six to nine months to Rio Tinto.
