Shipowner John Fredriksen was very surprised to learn of the arrest in Norway this week of Fredriksen Group chief executive, Jo Lunder.
According to the Norwegian daily Dagens Naeringsliv, Fredriksen was told about the arrest in an email while travelling in southern England.
Former Vimpelcom chief Lunder was hired in May and started working in Fredriksen's offices in Sloane Square on 1 September.
