Two men have been abducted from a Belize-flagged tanker off Nigeria.
The raid took place on the 9,300-dwt Eckhardt (built 1975) 10 miles off Bonny on Friday.
Nigerian commodore David Nabaida said: "Pirates kidnapped the captain and the chief engineer. We have not been able to establish their nationalities."
Navy officers had no sign of a ransom being demanded and no suspects in the kidnapping, he said.
