Norwegian owner Belships has bought two ultramax bulkers and immediately sold one of them in a leaseback deal.

The Oslo-listed company said on Tuesday that it has agreed to buy a six-year-old ultramax built in Japan for ¥2.52bn ($22.7m), which will be paid in cash.

Delivery of the vessel — for which no identifying details were disclosed — is expected in October, with the deal expected to be concluded this month.
