Cido Shipping and Berge Bulk have both sold capesizes for demolition as loss-making freight rates continue to push large bulkers into the hands of shiprecyclers.

Demolition brokers said Hong Kong and South Korean-based Cido has sold the 278,000-dwt ore carrier Pacific Opal (built 1995) for demolition in Bangladesh.
