Greece’s Eugenides shipping family appears to be making a comeback in the ownership and management of dry bulk ships.
IHS Markit lists traditional Eugenides firm Reefer & General Ship Management as new technical manager of the 58,100-dwt Sea Iris (built 2010) under the vessel’s new name, C Lion.
The Sea Iris previously belonged to Japan’s Santoku Senpaku and brokers reported in late September that the vessel was sold to unidentified Greek owners at a price between $10.6m
