For the second time in two days, Scorpio Bulkers has sold a vessel at a price suggesting rising values in the dry sector in recent weeks.
The Emanuele Lauro-led shipowner has sold the 64,000-dwt SBI Orion (built 2015) to an unidentified buyer for $16.1m, the Monaco company said in a filing on Wednesday.
The SBI Orion is a sister vessel to the SBI Gemini, which new York-listed Scorpio sold to Eagle Bulk Shipping for $16m in a deal announced 30 November.
