One Pacific Basin bulker crewman has died on a vessel off Mauritius, but all other crew are now said to be safe.
No cause has yet emerged, but the seafarer who died on the 29,800-dwt Baltic Sea (built 2001) was the subject of an urgent medical evacuation off Port Mathurin on Friday, Defi Media reported.
Local media said two more men were taken to the Creve-Coeur hospital in Rodrigues after a distress call from the captain.
