Borealis Maritime is rejuvenating its containership fleet with the acquisition of a six-year old baby panamax vessel.

The UK-based company paid a relatively low price of $10.4m to acquire the 3,400-teu Nordic Macau (built 2014), brokers say.

The vessel is a sistership of two panamax-beam units that Borealis already bought in December 2016.

Those were the 3,400-teu Bomar Bravo (ex-Nordic Beijing) and the Bomar Charlie (ex-Nordic Hong Kong, both built 2013).
