South Korea’s Sinokor Merchant Marine is said to have ordered up to 12 container ship newbuildings and picked up two VLCCs from the secondhand market.

The boxship orders are said to have been split between two shipyards under the banner of Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KSOE).

The contracts involve six 8,000-teu ships, four 2,800-teu vessels and a pair of 1,000-teu feeder ships.
