Georgia's Toba Shipmanagement has bought its first vessel in a deal with Marlow Navigation of Germany.

The 686-teu JRS Capella (built 2004) has been renamed Alopo.

It has been chartered to fast-expanding Turkish operator Arkon Lines for deployment between Turkey and Libya, Alphaliner said.

VesselsValue assesses the unit as worth $2.65m.

The vessel is the only ship listed in Toba's fleet, according to Clarksons

Toba describes itself as the management arm of Turkish shipowner Akar Group.
