Baltic Exchange chief executive Jeremy Penn today said the London shipbroking marketplace is prepared to host an attempt to standardise the way online shipping business applications communicate with each other.
“We at the Baltic would be very happy to provide a co-ordinating role in defining standards,” Penn said at a London meeting to discuss data convergence between ship operators, brokers and traders.
