Russian-controlled bulker owner DD Shipping has disposed of one of the SPP Shipbuilding-built handysize bulkers that it bought at the top of the market in April 2008.
The 34,000-dwt Sea Melody (built 2010) has been sold to an undisclosed buyer for $10.5m, sources claim. This is slightly less than expected, but significantly more than the $9m that the sistership Trading Fabrizia (built 2011) recently fetched.
