Thenamaris has locked its latest capesize acquisition into a period contract with SwissMarine.
The 177,700-dwt Seamate (built 2010) has been fixed at $5,600 per day for an 11 to 13 month run, the Baltic Exchange reports.
The charter is around double the $2,578 per day available in the spot market on Monday.
Nikolas Martinos-fronted Thenamaris paid around $19m for the ship in January as the Faustina from Sincere Navigation.
