Erck Rickmers to run his own ER Capital next year

German shipowner Erck Rickmers will lead his own ER Capital Holding next year.

Domestic media said he will replace Jochen Klosges as managing director in April.

Klosges is retiring after five years in the role, but will join the advisory board.

The idea is for Rickmers' remaining shipping, property and private equity interests to be merged into ER Capital.

It will have 15 employees at its Hamburg base.
