Excel says the 41,500-dwtAttractive (built 1985) has been offloaded in a $2.9m deal.
The figure,which has been used to repay debt, is a little short of the more than $3mTradeWinds reported the ship fetched from a scrap deal in Bangladesh.
The GabrielPanayotides-led owner paid $15.5m for the ship back in March 2005.
Excel owned upto the sale in an SEC filing which also detailed updates to its loan covenantssituation.
