Saltchuk Resources looks to be accelerating its build-up of shares in Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG) amid a revival of talk that it may seek to take control of the New York-listed shipowner.

The Seattle-based conglomerate bought a further 720,000 OSG shares on Monday, fattening its stake to 17.6% as the owner was preparing to report fourth-quarter 2020 earnings.

One investor and commentator who closely follows OSG told TradeWinds that he considers a takeover of the shipowner to be probable.
