Owners of LPG carriers will be using ammonia as a fuel in the years ahead, according to Navigator Holdings chief executive Mads Peter Zacho.
Speaking on an LPG panel during Capital Link’s Shipping & Marine Services Forum in London, Zacho said Navigator would be unlikely to build an ammonia-fuelled vessel without a contract. But he said the company is starting to see ammonia producers wanting it to bid for this type of vessels to lift the green and blue versions of their products.
