Denmark’s Celsius Tankers has pencilled in up to 12 LNG carrier newbuilding berths at China Merchants Heavy Industry Jiangsu (CMHI-Jiangsu) as the shipbuilder prepares to make its debut in the full-size large LNG carrier business.
Shipbuilding sources said the Jeppe Jensen-led company has signed a letter of intent for four firm 180,000-cbm LNG carriers, with options for up to eight vessels at the Chinese shipyard.
