Floating storage and regasification units are key to helping Europe achieve energy security and its decarbonisation goals, Excelerate Energy president and chief executive Steven Kobos said.
Speaking in a third-quarter results call, Kobos said Excelerate is seeing “robust demand” for LNG infrastructure globally as countries seek energy security and independence.
He said that while Europe has managed to fill its natural storage capacity to over 90% the outlook for the 2023 to 2024 heating season remains “a concern”.
