China’s Jiangnan Shipyard has joined an exclusive group of shipbuilders after winning its first ever LNG newbuilding deal.
Chinese trader Jovo Group has commissioned the Shanghai-based shipyard to build a pair of 80,000-cbm LNG carrier newbuildings.
An official at Jiangnan confirmed the order to TradeWinds and said the ships would be based on an in-house design.
