A large number of LNG cargoes are expected to be cancelled during the period from June into October, according to shipbroker and consultant Poten & Partners.
Speaking in its fifth LNG weekly webinar entitled “2020 LNG Markets and Covid-19 — What happens next?", Poten’s manager for short-term forecasting, Kristen Holmquist, said the company is cutting its US LNG supply outlook “quite aggressively” on the fallout from the global pandemic.
“We expect to see US supply hit really hard,” she said.
