Total has netted a third LNG carrier in a multi-year charter deal with Greek shipowner Maran Gas Maritime.
TradeWinds understands Maran Gas has firmed up a newbuilding at South Korea’s Samsung Heavy Industries on the back of the business.
The John Angelicoussis-controlled company, in which his daughter Maria Angelicoussis is now playing a lead role, contracted ships at the yard in December relating to the Total-led Mozambique LNG project business.
