Cash holdings at the International Oil Pollution Compensation (IOPC) Funds' 1992 Fund Convention have dipped from £137m ($175.6m) in 2016 to £99.4m at the end of 2017 after it made hefty payouts related to the Prestige disaster.

The 2017 figures were released ahead of a meeting of the governing bodies in October this year at which the IOPC Funds will mark its 40th anniversary.
