Ukraine has established a $500m marine insurance fund aimed at providing cover for ships trading to its Black Sea ports.
The move was announced by Oleksandr Kubrakovc, vice prime minister for the restoration of Ukraine, on Twitter.
“Ukraine will compensate possible damages to vessels entering its ports,” he said.
He added that the fund would amount to $500m and has been approved by the Ukraine parliament.
