A nasty fight between two of the American Maritime Officers’ top executives has spilled over into court.

Secretary-treasurer Charles Murdock sued the US union’s national executive board and president Paul Doell in Fort Lauderdale, Florida federal court Monday, alleging the two are trying to force him out of his post in a 4-year-long power struggle.

"AMO President Doell and his loyalists on the AMO Officers National Executive Board have engaged in an unceasing, vitriolic and retaliatory campaign to muzzle Mr Murdock," the complaint read.
