Golar LNG expects five more projects to issue tender invitations for floating storage and regasification units this year.
The John Fredriksen-controlled shipowner said in its second quarter results update that it is confident in further FSRU growth as demand “continues to accelerate for new FSRU projects worldwide, especially where a fast track start-up is a high priority”.
Golar noted that it is currently one of two shortlisted FSRU players for three separate projects.
