Norwegian owner Det Stavangerske Dampskibsselskab (DSD) appears to have regained its balance after suffering huge losses in 2011 and 2012 as a consequence of losing long-term charters with collapsed Japanese owner Sanko Steamship.

DSD faced combined write-downs totalling NOK 559m ($93.2m) for the two years.

But, in 2013, the company improved the situation by NOK 44m as the tanker market flattened out.
