Former Eagle Bulk Shipping chief executive Sophocles Zoullas has pulled a dozen vessels in his private Delphin Shipping from a management contract with his old employer.

The move was not unexpected as Zoullas resigned in March after reaching a severance settlement with Eagle Bulk’s board and brother Alexis did likewise as chief operating officer in May.

The withdrawal of the Delphin dozen completes the estrangement of Zoullas from the company he founded and took public in 2005.
