Kamsarmax and post-panamax specialist W Marine has bought one of five ships that Hong Kong’s KC Maritime is said to have sold in the past week.

It marks the Greek company’s first ship purchase in more than two years and provides further evidence of firming prices for secondhand bulkers.

Athens-based W Marine confirms it has purchased the 81,900-dwt kamsarmax Darya Radhe (built 2012) but managing director Nikos Triantafyllakis refuses to discuss the price, citing confidentiality agreements.
