The 6,078-teu Conti Melbourne (built 2000) and 5,447-teu Conti Helsinki (built 2002) were sold for $320 per ldt, fetching a total of $15.25m, brokers say

The Conti vessels are managed by Germany’s NSB Group, which last month sent the 5,500-teu Conti Taipei (built 2002) for recycling in India for $7.26m.

The move continues the trend that is seeing a growing number of KG (limited partnership)-owned vessels either being sold at levels just above scrap or entering into insolvency proceedings.
