Danish owner Norden has signed some of the largest contracts in its history.

Copenhagen-listed Norden has penned two long-term deals for the transportation of Biomas with Enviva.

The contracts, one of nine years and one stretching for 15, involve the shipping of wood pellets from the US to Europe.

Jan Rindbo, chief executive of Norden, said in a statement: “The global market for sustainable wood bioenergy is growing as more electric power generating plants convert from coal to wood pellets in order to reduce their lifetime carbon emissions.
