Sources say the 174,000-dwt Voge Master (built 2006) fetched some $11.6m, which is roughly in line with expectations. The Vogemann investors bought the ship, built at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding from Geden Lines of Turkey for $71.5m in July 2006 as Avore.
Greek owner Kassian is in the process of renewing its fleet. Earlier this month it sold the 50,000-dwt bulker Virginia (built 2001) to Chinese interests for $4.2m.
