Danish shipowner Esvagt is adding two former Hermitage Offshore ships to its fleet with the aim of converting them into greener hybrids for emergency work.

The company told TradeWinds that the Ulstein Verft-built, 4,200-dwt Hermit Fighter, which is being renamed Esvagt Celina, and Hermit Prosper (both built 2012) are joining on long-term charters.

The vessels were part of the bankrupt Scorpio Group-backed Hermitage Offshore fleet before being taken over by Pearl Bidco, a company set up by Hermitage's lenders DNB and SEB.
