The appearance of a Tristar Maritime tanker must have come as a big relief for two yachtsmen and a dog adrift off the US east coast on their disabled yacht for 10 days.
Kevin Hyde, 65, and Joe Ditomasso, 76, and the dog were rescued on Tuesday by the vigilant crew of the 49,900-dwt product tanker Silver Muna (built 2016) more than 200 miles (320 km) off Delaware.
