Norway’s Teco 2030 is to supply fuel cells for start-up Pherousa Green Shipping’s six groundbreaking zero-emission ultramax bulker newbuildings.

The Oslo-listed technology company said the 63,000-dwt ships will be fitted with 12 MW kits for main propulsion.

Pherousa announced its newbuilding plan in May, promising bulkers with onboard ammonia crackers, allowing the ships to run on hydrogen fuel.
