Norwegian owner IM Skaugen (IMS) has reduced idle time after losing six LNGCs from its Norgas pool.
The company said the decision by Teekay LNG Partners (TGP) to pull the vessels and start its own pool will reduce on and off-balance sheet commitments.
"In isolation, this is a positive given the upcoming changes to the accounting treatment of operational leases," it said.
