Thoresen Shipping has emerged as the buyer of a ten-year-old supramax bulker reported sold for $13.8m just before Christmas.
A spokesperson for the shipowner said he was unable to comment on sale and purchase activity, citing Thai Stock Exchange disclosure rules.
However, a source close to the Bangkok-based shipowner confirmed that it had acquired the 58,700-dwt Albion (built 2008).
