Peter Livanos-led GasLog has inked a long-term charter for LNG carrier newbuilding at the same time as expanding its orderbook.
The transaction has a positive read across to MLP GasLog Partners, which sees its pipeline of vessels increase to nine.
New York-listed GasLog is likely to employ newly contracted hull 2262 at Samsung Heavy Industries on the seven-year contract.
It also has the option to use two other uncommitted newbuildings, hulls 2212 or 2274, for the business, a statement said.
