International Seaways feel deeper into the red for the second quarter amid lower revenue.

The Lois Zabrocky-led company posted net loss of $18.8m versus an $11.6m loss a year ago.

Those results translated into loss per share of $0.65, beating analysts estimating a $0.78 loss per share.

Loss for this year's second quarter was offset by a $6.7m gain from the sale of six tankers -- a VLCC tanker, an aframax and four medium-range tankers -- for $69.1m.
