Atlantica Shipping plans to offload a new kamsarmax bulker at the beginning of 2019, sources say.
A limited partnership set up by the Oslo-based owner is selling 82,000-dwt Hull No. 199 to Germany's Oldendorff Carriers for $26.5m.
Oldendorff ordered the newbuilding from Jiangsu Hantong shipyard in China but then sold the contract last year to Atlantica for $24m.
Oldendorff did not reply to requests for comments on the deal, which means that Atlantica is logging a profit on the investment.
