Maersk Tankers has sold its oldest ship at a time it is taking delivery of a vast newbuilding orderbook.
Brokers say the Danish shipowner has secured $10.6m for the Maersk Prosper (built 2001).
A spokesperson for Maersk Tankers confirmed it had reached an agreement to sell the vessel but declined to comment on the price or the buyer.
