Greek shipowner John Angelicoussis' Maran Dry Management is disposing of its oldest bulker, sources say.
European brokers say the 246,000-dwt ore carrier Zhongte (built 1989) has gone for scrap.
A price of $426 per ldt, or $15.4m, is being placed on the ship in a sale that includes 600 tonnes of bunkers.
Maran Dry Management declined to comment when contacted by TradeWinds.
