Marine insurer Canopius has received a significant boost after securing a major strategic investment from leading South Korean insurance group Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance (SFMI).
The value of the deal has not been revealed. But brokers said it will likely see Canopius expand its presence in the Far East marine market.
Canopius said the strategic partnership will seek opportunities in the US and Far East specialty and reinsurance markets.
