Hong Kong’s Ocean Longevity is taking advantage of the low shipbuilding market to renew its bulker fleet — returning to Yangzijiang Shipbuilding with an order for up to two kamsarmaxes.

Shipbuilding sources said Ocean Longevity has signed for one firm 82,000-dwt bulker newbuilding with the Singapore-listed shipyard, with a further option.

It is reported to be paying slightly more than $26m for the IMO Tier-II compliant ship and is scheduled to take delivery next year.
