Diana Shipping outdone a tepid rate environment for larger bulkers with its latest charter of a newcastlemax.
The Simeon Palios-led owner of 40 bulkers has signed a time charter with Koch Shipping for the 208,000-dwt Newport News (built 2017) at $18,400 per day.
The fixture, beginning on 8 September, will last at least until 16 October next year, if not to the end of 2021.
