Diversity in Maritime — an initiative of industry body Maritime UK — has launched a service to help companies achieve a balance of men and women when holding job interviews.
The initiative believes that having an all-male interview panel can create a barrier to would-be recruits and enforce gender bias — both conscious and unconscious.
